Develop a basic understanding of badminton fundamentals for holding a racket, swinging and footwork techniques, as well as shots.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL

The focus will be on improving individual shots, refining technique and footwork, and introducing more advanced shots and game strategies Concentrate on combining shots with movement. Teach more games strategy and teamwork.

ADVANCED LEVEL

Aim to fine-tune students’ shot accuracy, strategy, and physical fitness while introducing them to local and national tournaments

COMPETITIVE LEVEL

The emphasis is on conditioning and physical fitness with advanced strategy for highly-skilled junior players who wish to compete in local and national tournaments. 

The curriculum is designed to prepare students for junior level tournament play. We teach players to master the strategic aspect of the game alongside intense physical training

  • Solidify basic shot skills, strengthen singles court coverage, become familiar with doubles rotation
  • Develop physical fitness and competitive team mindset at a younger age
  • Regular participation in local and/or national tournaments

ADVANCEMENT OF LEVEL

Coaches will be giving progress reports at the end of the Session so that students/parents know how they are developing. 

Our final advancement decision will be based on inter-class competition results, skill assessment and court attitude combined.

Inter-class competition will be held on a monthly basis.

Middle/High School Beginner– Ages 12+ recommended

  • It’s never too late to start! For students in Middle or High School that want to learn badminton as a hobby or prepare for their upcoming school season
  • Cover proper technique of fundamentals from Beginner Level in order to learn the basics of badminton

Introduce skills from Intermediate Level in order to help students compete for their school teams or to transition into the Silver curriculum
